“The 2021 Report on Gender Equality in the EU is the first report under the new Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025. The report takes stock of where the EU and its Member States stand on gender equality. It highlights the EU’s achievements in the five key areas covered by the strategy and gives inspiring examples from the Member States and EU-funded projects in these areas.”
The Report, published by the European Commission, highlights the need to address the visible lack of action in some of the EU Member States in regard to ensuring that women are free from gender-based violence, enjoy a favorable economic environment in an equal society, and are empowered to achieve their full potential.
On March 5, 2020, the Commission adopted the Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025. One year later, see for yourself which of the EU Member States are in reality making progress towards achieving a truly equal society.
