Cezara Panait is the Head of Digital Policy for the think-tank Europuls – Centre of European Expertise, where she coordinates the activity on digital policies, publishing press articles and constantly organizing and moderating public debates that bring together national and European policy-makers and representatives from the private sector and civil society. She is specialized in online platforms and artificial intelligence and she is frequently invited to be a guest speaker or moderator to various academic conferences or national and international debates related to AI, future emerging technologies or platform economy topics. Previously, she won awards for developing policy proposals on artificial intelligence and ethics, regulating online content and data protection, in international competitions organized by Microsoft Brussels, the Internet Generation Forum at the ITU Telecom World, or academic forums. She was interviewed as an AI expert in a project supported by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), she published academic interviews with experts from the Council of Europe Ad Hoc Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAHAI) and she won research grants from the Central European University to analyze the opportunity of establishing a regulatory framework for AI. Through her activities, she wants to contribute to strengthening an open and transparent debate framework for all actors involved in the decision-making process.
